Say Hi To Modern Mom Blogger: Holly

Meet Holly a Nova Scotian mom of one, postal worker, blogger and girl guide leader. We saw Hollys #SuzyStyle and thought her looks and blog were so great that we wanted to catch up with her and talk fashion and blogging!

We loved your SUZY looks what do you love most about wearing SUZY?

How comfortable it is! I recently purchased a maxi dress and two flowy skirts and they’re SO stylish yet the easiest outfits to pull off. They flatter everyone!

What is your favourite Suzy item you have bought?

I have to say it’s a recent maxi dress. It’s beautiful colours with red and purple patterns AND it’s all one outfit. That’s it, done! No matching, no over thinking and super comfortable whether you have a wedding to attend or a kiddie play date.

When did you start your blog and what inspired you to do so?

I started my blog in October 2014. I had just had my first baby (a boy, Elliott!), I was on Mat leave and feeling sort of alone/disconnected from the world. I really wanted somewhere to share all my thoughts and daily goings on, plus I love to talk; so the blog was born!

What do you do when you get writers block and can’t think of what to post?

This happens a lot, It’s tough to stay inspired! When I’m having an odd week and can’t come up with anything fancy I just write about my day. I take photos of EVERYTHING so when I’m at that loss I will post what we’ve been up to, where we’ve been going, what I’ve been wearing.

Anything to keep my readers in the loop!

What advice would you give to a new blogger starting out?

Just go for it!

Don’t worry about keeping up with other bloggers or trying to be perfect, that will only hold you back!

Be yourself, post what you feel, type like you talk (That’s how I do anyway ). And you will do great!
