#suzyink
Here at SUZY we believe in self-expression. So that’s why we started #suzyink, inspired by our June campaign model Aleks, who had a small heart tattoo on her wrist, we wanted to look at the relationship between women and ‘ink’ today. As tattoos have gained popularity in the media with models like Cara Delevingne showing of her tiger tattoo in photo shoots to Rihanna strutting her collar bone ink on the red carpet, tattoos have definitely become less taboo and more celebrated. And here at Suzy we are a fan so we wanted to show off some #suzyink that you submitted and ink from our offices as well!
-This beautiful fashion illustration is on the arm of our Junior fashion buyer Josee-Anne Lalande. To her it represented her main love in life, fashion. With it being not so easily distinguished she wanted it to peek people curiosity and for them to wonder and ask what it was. She also did this as she wanted it to stand out as the beautiful unique piece it is.
-This delicate 903 number is on our hairstylist Steffi from our Mod campaign shoot and has a special private meaning to her, which we all know tattoos are great for! Shot is by Jimmy Hamelin.
-This small house tattoo is on our talented photographer Allison. Although it is her smallest tattoo, to her it is the most meaningful. It symbolizes the feeling of home and having a sense of belonging, which she believes is one of the most important things in life.
-These tattoos were shared from the wonderful Melissa Norman who works at the Cottonwood mall SUZY store in BC. The tattoo on her collar bone says “I am enough” she got it spelt backwards so on days when she begins to doubt herself she can look in the mirror and be reminded that she is enough, and to never let anyone tell her any different.
Thanks so much to all who shared their #suzyink and the stories that went with them you can read our previous #suzyink post here:
